Bomberman Live Released on Xbox Live Arcade!
Being a big Bomberman fan, I made the wait until 4am central time to grab the game as it was put up on Xbox Live Arcade. I've played about an hour and a half of the game and so far I am extremely impressed with it. There's a lot of variety in the different areas and the visuals are the best I've ever seen in a Bomberman game to date. Musically the game is also pretty solid as well, as the background music does a good job of carrying the action taking place without overpowering it. The girl that takes care of the announcing duties in each level is also pretty easy on the ears. The game also allows you to unlock customizing items for your Bomberman character. You can choose different hats, faces, and even outifts to make your Bomberman stand out from the crowd. This might seem like a small touch, but it's a nice one nonetheless. The single-player game is a lot of fun, but to fully enjoy a Bomberman game you've got to get into the multi-player part of the action to get the full Bomberman experience and the Xbox Live version of the game doesn't dissapoint. You can play with 2-4 players locally as well as up to 8 players across the Xbox Live service. I got in a few games on Live and the game plays like a dream. Bomberman Live doesn't stray very far from the tried-and-true formula that's driven these games for two-decades and in truth, that's actually a good thing. If your a Bomberman fan, you need to grab this game and if you're not, this game will likely make a fan out of you. Overall I'd give it about an 8.5/10. A great addition to the already rock-solid Xbox Live Arcade.Subscribe to Posts [Atom]
