My Top 100 RPGs
I've gotten a lot of emails asking me about what RPGs I like and which ones I'd recommend, so I decided to put up this list. This is my own personal Top 100 RPGs. After putting this list together, I realized that there was one on here I had actually not finished, but I just popped Secret of Evermore into my Super NES and I'm on it. Take a look and see how many of these you've played and how many you still need to play. I apologize ahead of time if one of your favorite rpgs isn't on the list, but I tried to be as thorough as possible, even going so far as to go through all of my shelves here in the game room and write them down individually. Well, there they are. Of the 173 I own, these are the 100 best. And as I said up top, if your favorites didn't make the list, I'm sorry about that. Well, gotta get back to Secret of Evermore. Plus my hands are tired from typing all of that list up. : )

HOLY SH*T!!! Where in the hell did you get that many role-playing games??? I thought I had a lot with 72 of them, but damn, 170+, that's INSANE!!! Nice list though and great blog.
Wow, you have played an enormous amount of rpgs. I can't believe FF7 was so low on the list, but it's your list.

Hey Corbie, I would love to read your impressions of Astonishia Story for PSP. It looks and plays a hell of a lot like Arc The Lad for PSX.
Funny you should ask about it since that's what I'm reviewing right now as we speak. I'll tell you, I think it's a LOT better than much of the media has given it credit for, and you're right, it does remind me a little of Arc the Lad and even Seiken Densetsu 3 in the way it looks a little. I'll put a blog entry about it today or tommorrow for you.

It would be great if you did more, maybe a list each month but done with different genres? Then you can also span out and do a list of something different like your top 100 cast/character in a videogames, or start a list of worst/least favourites? etc
And maybe a short description of the top 10 games explaining why you made that choice.
Anyway, just wanted to suggest some ideas :)

I think I may start doing the Top 10 lists with the explanations/descriptions beside the picks like you said. I had been thinking about doing that to begin with, but had so many RPGs to list, I knew I'd be a month putting it together. : ) Looks for my Ten WORST Games ever list coming soon. It's gonna be interesting, to say the least. : )
