Magical Vacation Rant...AGAIN!
This is the portion of the blog where I rant and rave for a few minutes. While it never really accomplishes much, it always makes me feel much better. This month's rant is towards Nintendo for not bringing the Brownie Brown Game Boy Advance rpg, Magical Vacation, to the US.
It would be one thing if this were just another game, but Magical Vacation is the main reason I bought my Game Boy Advance system in the first place. When I saw screenshots of Golden Sun and Magical Vacation, I knew right then and there that I had to own a GBA system. In fact I even imported from Japan months before the system made its' US debut. And year after year has gone by and still, even 5 years later, we still don't have Magical Vacation here in the US. So my question to Nintendo is, why if you gave us the mediocre Sword of Mana could you not in turn give us Magical Vacation. I realize the GBA's life cycle is nearing an end, but come on Nintendo, make one final gesture of appreciation to the GBA rpg faithful and localize Magical Vacation for the US gamers that have been wanting it for so long.
As if to add insult to injury and pour salt on an old wound, Nintendo has just recently released screenshots of Brownie Brown's sequel, Magical Vacation 2 for the Nintendo DS system. I honestly refuse to get the least bit excited about this game as I know it will turn out just like before and I'll get all excited about the screenshots and start looking forward to a US release only to be let down once again by the very company I've supported for so many years now. But for those that want to see it, here's a screen shot. Don't get too attached!Subscribe to Posts [Atom]
